Another way volunteers make a difference at St. John's Home is by becoming members of St. John's Home Auxiliary.
For over 100 years, the members of the St. John's Home Auxiliary have been the helping hands and hearts of St. John's Home, creating an environment where elders can embrace living through meaningful relationships and activities. The St. John's Home Auxiliary supports St. John's mission to nurture life with vibrant, life-affirming relationships every day.
Today's auxiliary is a group of men and women of all ages who volunteer their time and talents to brighten the lives of our elders.
St. John's Home Auxiliary meets on the first Thursday of every month to plan programs and coordinate efforts. These meetings bring members together to share a lunch and discuss ways to support the principles of the Eden Alternative within St. John's Home, bringing variety and spontaneity to those who live here. At select times of the year, members enjoy entertainment and guest speakers at our luncheons.
