Resident Wins Silver for Short Film

St. John’s Home resident Deb Anderson was recently awarded a Telly Award for her short film “My Spirt“.

The film depicts Deb’s journey with cerebral palsy which began as a young girl when she was diagnosed. The writer, composer, and director Jeffrey Arnold of JSA Productions developed Deb’s concept for the film.

The duo won a Silver Telly Award in the “Advocacy and Causes — Non-Broadcast” category.

Deb, who moved into St. John’s Home in early 2019, says she is “very happy for the award and excited for people to see it.”
