Ever since our doors opened on November 21, 1899, St. John’s has had the same goal: helping older adults embrace living at every stage. We strive for compassionate and responsive care, respectful and friendly relationships, a fun atmosphere, and innovation in all fields — from independent living to memory care, skilled services, rehabilitation, and more.

St. John’s hosted a birthday party on our official opening anniversary to celebrate this milestone. The party included a greeting from St. John’s President and CEO Charlie Runyon, an invocation from Reverend Sarah Culp, proclamations from Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, and Brighton Town Supervisor William Moehle, and musical performances from the Brickstone by St. John’s Chorale and a Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra ensemble.
