Kelly Batz wins 2016 ‘Nurse of the Year’ Award
Kelly Batz, R.N.—St. John’s Employee Health and Wellness Manager—was named the 2016 New York State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (NYSAOHN) Nurse of the Year. NYSAOHN President Marie Warda and Mary Ann Rall—the President of the organization’s Greater Rochester Chapter—were on hand to present the award at today’s surprise ceremony.
From NYSAOHN: “This award is given to recognize an association member who exemplifies excellence in professional practice and leadership through participation in the association at the local and/or state chapter level.”
Kelly has spent over half of her nearly 40-year career at St. John’s. Over the past decade, she has led the Employee Health and Wellness team. Kelly’s strong track record on spearheading health education and screening efforts as well as her current focus on diabetes and hypertension awareness and counselling were highlighted among her many achievements to justify this award.
Congratulations to Kelly for this impressive honor. You have made all of us at St. John’s very proud!
