Delivering Easter Cheer for a Good Cause
A monthlong initiative resulted in several dozen Easter baskets delivered to local charities this week. Staff and residents from St. John’s Home can be confident that their hard work and generosity will make the holiday brighter for children connected to two important causes.

A total of 50 Easter baskets were prepared by St. John’s Home residents earlier this month with Easter candy and other gift items donated by St. John’s staff. 25 baskets each were delivered to Willow Domestic Violence Center and Glove House this week, ensuring that children supported by these two causes that are close to the hearts of residents and staff alike will receive a very special gift this holiday.
“We wanted to do something a little different and more meaningful than we typically do for Easter,” said St. John’s Home Director of Resident Life Stacey Hall. “We wanted (residents) to become involved in normal life activities and making Easter baskets is something we’ve all done for our kids in the past, and we want people to have meaning and find joy in life at St. John’s and find joy in giving back to the community.”
