St. John’s Meadows Partners with Swim School
British Swim School—an organization teaching water survival skills to swimmers of all ages and abilities for over four decades—has recently started offering classes at the pool at St. John’s Meadows. This new partnership has helped launch British Swim School’s move into the Rochester area.
St. John’s collaboration with the school reflects the long history of connecting with like-minded organizations to offer programming in community space that benefits all involved. Examples of similar St. John’s partnerships include the long-standing programs offered by Nazareth University and MVP Health Care.
St. John’s Vice President of Senior Housing Tony Zaccaglino spoke with WROC-TV this week about this new collaboration, while British Swim School promoted its entrance into the Rochester market, all in honor of Water Safety Month. Zaccaglino stressed the benefits that come from bringing people from the community onto the campus to learn what St. John’s Meadows has to offer. He also spoke of the popularity of fitness programming at St. John’s Meadows and how this partnership allows for an even greater range of classes available to residents.
Family members of St. Johns’ residents and staff can also take advantage of swim classes for children in the warm-water pool located at St. John’s Meadows. The Aqua Active class is geared towards older swimmers.
