Rochester Giving 2025 Highlights St. John’s Community Partnerships
“It’s our responsibility as nonprofits to be good stewards of the community’s resources,” said St. John’s Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Lesinski in the Rochester Business Journal‘s 2025 “Giving Guide.” Freelance writer Caurie Putman spoke with local nonprofits about their inclusion of community voices.
“Getting the input of the community and making sure that we’re delivering on what the needs are is part of that process,” said Lesinski.
St. John’s has collaborated with the Rochester community for several years to promote intergenerational learning, caregiver respite, and an overall age-inclusive community.
St. John’s association with Nazareth University and the University of Rochester Medical Center are also examples of the benefits that can come to the community from strategic partnerships.
“There’s power in coming together and getting ideas from lots of different aspects of the community, people with different experiences and different views,” Lesinski said. “We’re better when we’re together.”
