Last spring, longtime St. John’s Meadows resident Art Trimble brought an idea to Paul Bartlett, vice president of senior housing at St. John’s. The concept involved his wish to turn a small peninsula projecting into a pond near the cottage he shared with his partner Barb Binder into a more suitable area for residents and guests to enjoy. An active contributor to the Rochester Civic Garden Center and the Borrows Audubon Nature Club, Art always made it a priority to take the time to appreciate his natural surroundings and share his insights with others. He even offered to fund the initiative.
